Grand Trunk Road once ran nearly two thousand kilometres, Calcutta to Lahore — the highway that fed an empire, survived a Partition, and carried a hundred generations of travelers before it ever reached a menu.
Long before it had a name, this stretch of road was known for one thing: a dhaba that never let a hungry traveler leave hungry. Sukhdev Dhaba at Murthal is the one everyone still talks about.
