The Grand Trunk Road is one of South Asia's oldest and longest roads. For centuries it carried traders, armies and families between Bengal and the north-west — and with them, the spices and cooking traditions that shaped a whole region's food.
Along its length grew three kinds of kitchen that we love: the bustling street-food stalls of its cities, the grand royal kitchens of its old capitals, and the humble roadside dhabas where drivers stopped for a hot meal at any hour.
The GT Road is our tribute to all three. We are a restaurant in Little Elm, Texas — not on the road itself — but every curry bowl, smoky kebab and stuffed paratha we serve is cooked in that same spirit: bold, generous and made fresh to order.
